Salvatore Difranco

Software engineer who ships real products — and works with coding agents in a measured way.

In production rather than in a sandbox — civic software running for households in Sicily, a macOS application shipped as a download people install. The part I care about is the part where it goes live and stays up.

The agents are run to a written method — a spec first, tickets after it, one fresh context window each, and nothing committed before it has been reviewed twice.

Projects

  • Wrygloss

A web app that turns the highlights and words you save on a Kobo e-reader into spaced-repetition study cards, each shown back in your own sentence.

    • TypeScript
    • Postgres
    • Hono
    • Go
    • FSRS
    Proof

    • TypeScript
    • Supabase
    • Web Push
    • CSS Modules
    Proof
Live and installable at differenziacomiso.vercel.app — a scheduled cron sends each household a Web Push reminder the evening before collection.

A macOS app for tracking job applications that surfaces the ones where the company has gone quiet.

    • Swift
    • SwiftUI
    • SwiftData
    • macOS 26
